About

Sikh history is full of extraordinary stories — stories of courage, sacrifice, devotion, and wisdom that have inspired people across centuries and continents. Yet when I was raising my children in the US, I noticed a glaring gap: there were almost no books that reflected their heritage in a way kids actually wanted to engage with. These stories weren't in school libraries. They weren't in comic or graphic novel format. And even in India, quality books that a child could pick up and genuinely enjoy were hard to come by.

That's why Sikh Comics was born.

We set out to bring the lives of the Sikh Gurus, the Bhagats, and the great Sikh martyrs to life through beautiful, accessible graphic novels — in both English and Punjabi. Each book is researched carefully and illustrated with respect for the tradition, making these stories approachable for young readers while remaining meaningful for adults.

Today, our collection spans over seventy titles across two series. The Sikh Comics graphic novels bring the stories of all ten Gurus and key historical figures to life in vivid detail. The My Guru's Blessings series is designed for younger children, with simpler text and gentle illustrations suited to early readers.

Families across India, Canada, the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand and beyond have used these books in homes, Gurdwaras, and Sikh schools (Punjabi schools). We hear regularly from parents who say their children asked to read the same book five times, or from grandparents who gifted a set and sparked a grandchild's curiosity about their roots. Those messages mean everything to us.

We believe that when children see their heritage told beautifully — in a format they love — it stays with them. That's the whole point.

May Waheguru keep you all in Chardi Kala.
